Arlington, TX — December 15, 2024, two pedestrians were killed in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 11:30 p.m. along Lamar Boulevard.
According to authorities, a man and woman were on foot on a sidewalk on Lamar Boulevard in the vicinity east of Ballpark Way when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Chevrolet Malibu that was eastbound on Lamar failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered off of the roadway and entered the sidewalk where it struck the two pedestrians. It allegedly fled the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victims.
