Austin, TX — March 3, 2024, Jacob Parish was injured in a truck accident at approximately 12:20 p.m. along Interstate Highway 35.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Jacob Parish was traveling in a southbound Chevy Silverado pickup truck on I.H. 35 in the vicinity north of West Parmer Lane when the accident took place.
The pickup truck allegedly switched lanes from the far-left lane to the middle lane in front of a Freightliner 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck was then rear-ended by the Freightliner, causing the pickup truck to veer left and crash into the concrete barrier separating the north and southbound lanes of the interstate. The pickup then veered right again, this time making contact with the left side of the trailer of the Freightliner with its right side before both vehicles came to a stop.
Parish incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of this wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
