Accident Report
January 31, 2026, a man was injured due to a hit-and-run car accident just after 3:30 a.m. along Interstate Highway 37.
According to authorities, a 43-year-old man was traveling in a northwest bound Renault on I-37 approaching Fair Avenue when the accident took place. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a northwest bound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. A collision consequently occurred between the front end of the Ram and the rear-end of the Renault.
The person who had been behind the wheel of the Dodge allegedly fled the scene. The man from the Ram reportedly sustained serious injuries over the course of the accident. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
