Bracketville, TX — February 27, 2025, two people were fatally injured as the result of a helicopter crash that happened around 1:20 p.m. near U.S. Highway 90.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened near the Kinney and Uvalde County line east of Bracketville.
Right now, exact circumstances remain under investigation. It appears that two people were onboard a Robinsoon R44 helicopter when it somehow went down and crashed in the area of Harris Ranch Uvalde. Due ot the crash, two people were confirmed dead.
Authorities have not released names yet, and they do not say what the helicopter was doing leading up to the crash. Investigations are ongoing.

A lot can go wrong to cause a crash like this. From weather conditions to medical emergencies to mechanical defects—it takes a lot of time, training, and specialized tools to sort through the evidence of an aircraft accident. Federal agencies can generally handle that, but it may take them months to finally release any details. If families don’t have independent professionals working to get answers in the meantime, they may be waiting just as long as the public to get any information about what went wrong. Maybe officials will be more prompt than usual here, but it’s not something I would take for granted.
