Grayson County, TX — September 7, 2025, Hayden Woods was killed and one person was injured following a car accident around 3:05 a.m. along Lincoln Park Road.
Initial details about the accident say that it took place north of Van Alstyne near Sister Grove Road.
According to initial statements, Hayden Weeks and a 19-year-old were in a Ford F-250 going northbound. The vehicle reportedly lost control, and it crashed along the roadway.
Due to the accident, Hayden Weeks was fatally injured. The passenger had non-life-threatening injuries. No further information about the accident is available at this time.

I always have concerns when I read about accidents involving teenage drivers—and to be clear, my concerns are about the authorities. Frankly, people tend to jump to conclusions about young drivers, and that can cloud judgment and lead to hasty investigations. That’s why it can be important to follow up with authorities early on and find out what steps they’re taking to look at the crash from all angles.
If it seems like authorities are being thorough and considering all possible factors so they can ensure the victim’s loved ones are getting clear answers, then that’s good. But if it seems like they’re only looking for someone to blame and barely scratching the surface, then the accident may need a second look from more thorough, unbiased independent investigators.
