Harris County, TX — March 29, 2024, Gualberto Blanco Perez and one other person were injured in a car accident at 7:15 a.m. along West Loop 610.
According to authorities, 64-year-old Gualberto Blanco Perez was traveling in an eastbound Honda Civic along Fournace Place at the West Loop East northbound service road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a northbound Honda Accord on the service road occupied by an 84-year-old man neglected to stop for the stop light indicated by the traffic signal at the intersection. This resulted in a collision between the front-left side of the Accord and the front-end of the Civic within the intersection.
Perez incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. The man from the Accord suffered reportedly moderate injuries, as well, though when medical transport was offered to him, he refused it.
