Gregg County, TX — January 27, 2024, Gary Long was injured in a car accident that took place shortly after 11:45 p.m. along Meridian Street.
According to authorities, 75-year-old Gary Long was traveling in an eastbound Mustang on Meridian Street, C.R. 3547, in the vicinity east of State Highway 135 when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that speed may have been a factor leading up to the crash. The Mustang reportedly failed to safely maintain its lane of travel, veering left and leaving the roadway where it collided with the rear-end of a parked pickup truck. Long incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment.
