Hunt County, TX — October 21, 2023, a man was killed and one was injured following an ATV accident at around 10:30 p.m. along County Road 2276.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of County Road 2296, several miles north of Quinlan.
Investigators said in their statements that a 30-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were on a Polaris ATV 4-wheeler the vehicle went into a curve at the time when it then overturned off the roadway. As a result, the 24-year-old man on the ATV succumbed to his injuries. The driver had what were called non-incapacitating injuries.
Right now, unsafe speeds is said to be a contributing factor in the accident. Nothing further can be confirmed at this time.
