Atascosa County, TX — May 15, 2023, Erick Quezada Alvarez and Laura Chavez were injured in a truck accident around 11:30 p.m. on Hwy. 16 in Atascosa County.
Officials report the victims were in a Dodge Durango heading east on F.M. 140 crossing the intersection with Hwy. 16 when their vehicle collided with a Freightliner going south on Hwy. 16. The collision reportedly forced both vehicles off the roads. Mr. Quezada Alvarez and Ms. Chavez both purportedly suffered incapacitating injuries and were transported to a medical center.
Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
