El Paso County, TX — April 21, 2024, Elizabeth Cordero was injured as the result of a car accident at around 3:28 p.m. along Alameda Avenue.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of Alameda Avenue and Rio Vista Road.
Officials say that 18-year-old Elizabeth Cordero was in a Toyota Scion traveling across Alameda making a left turn. While doing so, a Chevy Tahoe crashed into the side of the car. Due to this, Elizabeth Cordero was seriously injured.
The other driver apparently wasn’t hurt. No further information about the accident is available.

People tend to think car accidents are simple just because they are common. In my experience, though, victims and families often find themselves with unanswered questions even when authorities “finish” their reports. Sometimes, accidents are just seen as a low priority, so it takes more thorough independent investigations to bring the rest of the story to light. Other times, authorities are able to clear everything up on their own. Either way, victims and families need to be sure they’re getting the whole story if they want to get a fair resolution.
