Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When it comes to single-vehicle accidents, it’s a common concern that authorities don’t always give things the attention they need. It’s not that officers are unskilled, but rather their departments don’t always prioritize single-vehicle wrecks. As a result, officers may not be given the time or tools they need to do a proper, thorough accident reconstruction.
That’s when important things like electronic data, vehicle defect analysis, debris reconstruction, roadway laser mapping, and even things like cell phone records may slip through the cracks. Naturally, if people feel their situation isn’t getting the attention it deserves, they may feel concerned that no one will tell their side of the story. That’s why it’s sometimes prudent in these situations to consider having a second set of eyes look things over to ensure nothing important goes overlooked.
