UPDATE (April 13, 2023): Authorities identified the man killed in the accident as Donald Daniel Eagen. They did not give additional details about the crash.
Killeen, TX — April 7, 2023, a man was killed and six were injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident where a vehicle crashed along Robinett Road.
Investigators said that the incident happened just before 9:00 p.m. along Robinett Road off the corner of Gus Drive.

It appears that a red sedan was traveling along the roadway during inclement weather. While doing so, police believe that speed and the weather led to at least four vehicles colliding. The man in the red car ultimately died as a result of that collision.
Six others involved in the crash were transported from the scene and are said to be in stable condition. Right now, additional details are unavailable pending investigations.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
There’s no doubt more to this crash, given how little information is currently available. But my concern in these situations is that authorities sometimes just attribute crashes during bad weather to a driver going too fast for conditions. Frankly, that’s a darn likely explanation. But without considering other possible factors, something important could slip through the cracks. It remains to be seen, then, if anything important is going overlooked here.
