It appears that 63-year-old Domingo Vallejo Garza was in a Chevy Silverado going southwest along 7th Street. While crossing over Levee Street, it appears a Chevy Sonic going southeast crashed into the passenger side of the pickup. The Silverado then overturned.

Due to the collision, Garza sustained injuries described as serious. One passenger in the Sonic had apparently moderate injuries while no others had any reported injuries. Right now, exact information about factors surrounding the crash can’t be confirmed.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

One thing that seems a bit odd here is that the person in the larger vehicle was seriously injured while others in the smaller vehicle weren’t. Usually, the opposite would be true—or at least the injuries between those involved would be comparable. Is there an explanation for this disparity between injuries? Is that something authorities even bothered looking into? If not, they might be overlooking something important.
