UPDATE (February 19, 2026): Authorities identified one of the shooting victims as 27-year-old Derek Dashaun Brown. The other victim has yet to be identified.
San Antonio, TX — February 18, 2026, two people were killed as the result of a shooting which took place around 1:24 a.m. outside a hookah lounge.
Preliminary details about the accident say that it happened outside Myst Hookah Lounge, located off the corner of North Loop 1604 West and Lockhill Selma Road.
According to initial reports, there was an initial altercation at the hookah lounge earlier in the night. Some time later, it’s said that a person involved in that altercation shot at the business’s patio. Two men, ages 50 and 27, were shot as a result. Both of those men were killed.
At this time, there is no further information about the suspect shooter or possible charges. Investigations are ongoing.

At a business like this, I have to wonder if there are any cameras that authorities are looking into. Video footage often gets overwritten frequently, so securing it quickly is crucial. That may prove crucial in identifying a suspect and seeing there is ultimately accountability for what happened here.
