Denison, TX — November 25, 2024, David Straiton was injured as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 9:02 p.m. along Scullin Avenue.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened off the corner of the Scullin Avenue and Morton Street intersection.
Investigators said that 42-year-old David Straiton was on a Harley Davidson traveling northbound along Scullin. Doing so, the motorcycle reportedly lost control, and it crash. Straiton sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
There were no other vehicles reportedly involved in the accident. At this time, specified details surrounding the accident remain unavailable.

When it comes to motorcycle accidents, it’s important to know how thorough authorities are being in their investigations. Frankly, a lot of people are negatively biased against motorcyclists. This can lead them to jump to conclusions before they’ve actually gathered evidence. That’s why I’ve received countless calls throughout the years from folks who felt authorities were more concerned with blaming someone than actually looking for answers. It could be that authorities here have been fair and listened to the victim’s side of the story. If not, though, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time a motorcycle wreck proved better off in the hands of more thorough independent investigators.
