Authorities say that on July 13, an accident occurred when a tractor-trailer left I-75 and struck a roadside barrier for unknown reasons. According to reports, the truck attempted to reenter the Interstate and, upon doing so, struck an oncoming vehicle before driving off the opposite side of the road.
Investigators have not determined what caused the accident but confirmed the 45-year-old truck driver, David Johnson, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
