Lucas, TX — September 6, 2025, David Blake Jr. and one other were injured following a motorcycle accident at around 12:55 a.m. along Country Club Road.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of Country Club Road and Rock Ridge Road.
Investigators said that David Blake Jr. and a 39-year-old woman were on a Harley-Davidson going southbound. Somehow, the motorcycle lost control and veered off-road. The motorcycle then crashed.
David Blake Jr. was seriously injured in the crash, authorities said. The passenger had less severe injuries. Right now, no further information is available.

My main concern with accidents like this is people tend to jump to conclusions. Motorcyclists unfairly get a bad rap, leading to all kinds of speculation and negative assumptions. Sometimes, authorities are able to put their bias aside and focus on getting the facts. Too often, though, I’ve handled cases where it took secondary independent investigations to correct the record. Hopefully investigators here aren’t being so haphazard.
