Trigg County, KY — April 5, 2023, Dariusz J. Kowalewicz was killed in a truck accident around 11 p.m. on Interstate 24 in Trigg County.
According to officials, the victim’s semi-truck was eastbound when it struck a black unoccupied Jeep. The collision reportedly forced the truck to leave the roadway, collide with some trees, and overturn. Emergency responders worked for several hours to get Mr. Kowalewicz out of the truck and to a medical center in Clarksville. However, the victim later succumbed to the severe injuries sustained in the accident.
The road was reportedly wet at the time of the accident.
Authorities have not released why the Jeep was stopped and unoccupied, if the Jeep was out of the lanes of traffic, or any other possible causes for the crash.
