Chambers County, TX — December 22, 2024, Dalton Pettigrew was killed and Jessica Belrose was injured in a single-car accident shortly after 5:15 along I.H. 10.
According to authorities, 27-year-old Dalton Pettigrew and 33-year-old Jessica Belrose were traveling in an eastbound Kia Forte on Interstate Highway 10 in the vicinity west of Eagle Drive when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Kia failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered out of the active lanes of travel, crashing with a concrete barrier and overturning before coming to a stop.
