Gainesville, TX — June 17, 2023, Dakota Blythe was killed following an apparent work accident at a business along the side of North I-35.
Officials released preliminary details about the fatal incident, which they say occurred at 3601 North I-35 on the north side of town. Information suggests this is the address for IFS Coatings, which is near North Grand Avenue.
According to officials, an incident occurred at this location which resulted in 34-year-old Dakota Blythe sustaining electrocution and blunt force injuries. Blythe, who appears to be an employee for IFS Coatings, succumbed to fatal injuries at a hospital in Denton.
It’s unclear at this time what Blythe was doing at the time of the accident, whether or not there were co-workers involved in the accident, or whether or not anyone else was hurt. Investigations are ongoing at this time.
