Sebastian County, AR — February 11, 2026, Crystal Bieler was killed and Jared Vines was injured after a UTV accident around 2:20 a.m. along Highway 96.
Authorities with the Arkansas DPS said the accident happened in the area of AR-96 and Dalmut Road.
According to officials, 41-year-old Crystal Bieler and 40-year-old Jared Vines were on a Polaris side-by-side traveling westbound along the highway. For reasons unclear, the UTV went off-road and crashed. Crystal Bieler was fatally injured in the crash, police said. Jared Vines reportedly had injuries.
At this time, further information about the accident remains unconfirmed.

My concern with accidents involving atypical vehicles (UTVs, golf carts, scooters, e-bikes, etc.) is they often are treated as a low priority. The unusual nature of the accidents can leave authorities in a position where they’re not sure how to proceed or perhaps they lack the proper equipment and training to do a proper accident reconstruction. That’s when important details can slip through the cracks.
This is why I generally encourage people to follow up with authorities when possible. If authorities can provide clear, satisfactory answers, it’s usually because they’re doing good investigations. But when families feel details aren’t adding up or questions are going unanswered, they can decide if they’d feel more comfortable having an independent investigator look things over.
