Angelina County, TX — January 21, 2024, Colby Cordell Williams was injured in a single-car accident at about 2:00 a.m. along Farm to Market 58.
According to reports, 21-year-old Colby Cordell Williams was traveling in a northbound Hyundai Elantra on Farm to Market 58 in the vicinity south of Rabe Road when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Elantra failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, crossing over the center line and the southbound lane before leaving the roadway completely and entering the ditch on the west side of the road. It allegedly continued its northern trajectory until colliding with a culvert where it finally came to a stop.
Williams incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
