While exact circumstances are still unconfirmed, authorities suggested the Hyundai driver face charges for driving while intoxicated. That’s a serious detail on its own, but certain possibilities could make a situation like this a lot more complex than folks realize.

For example, if authorities found the driver was extremely drunk, it would be important to find out where that alcohol came from. Alcohol providers can also be responsible for contributing to accidents like this if evidence shows they illegally over-served the drunk driver. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that gets a lot of public attention, so a lot of people simply go on without knowing there’s someone out there who should have been held accountable for the harm they caused.

Again, that’s just a possibility, and it might not apply here. That’s why investigations are so important. Either evidence can rule out anything unusual here, or it can shed light on information the victims and families need to know going forward.
