Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
A serious multi-vehicle truck accident is likely going to result in a chaotic crash scene. It’s important to be vigilant after accidents like this to ensure authorities are giving the crash the attention it needs. A police department in a large city may be stretched thin between countless other responsibilities, meaning accident reconstruction can take a backseat. That’s when important information starts to slip through the cracks.
That’s one of the reasons independent accident reconstructionists often prove to be a valuable tool for victims and families involved in a serious truck accident. They can focus on getting the facts, that way there can be a clear explanation of what happened and who, if anyone, should be held accountable. Perhaps authorities here have been able to take those steps themselves, but it’s simply not something I’d ever take for granted.
