Comanche County, TX — March 23, 2024, Celia Meza and two others were injured in a car accident just before 7:30 p.m. along U.S. Highway 67.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Celia Meza, two 16-year-old girls, a 17-year-old girl, and a 15-year-old boy were traveling in an eastbound Jeep Wrangler along U.S. 67 at the S.H. 36 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Ford F-350 occupied by two men ages 26 and 24 on U.S. 67 attempted a left turn onto southbound S.H. 36 at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to eastbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the back-right side of the pickup truck and the front right corner of the Jeep.
Three people—Meza, a 16-year-old girl from the Jeep, and the 24-year-old man from the pickup truck—sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
