Houston, TX — May 25, 2023, Cartez Phillips was injured following an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 2:42 a.m. along Elgin Street.
According to initial details about the accident, the crash took place along the eastbound lanes of Elgin Street. 28-year-old Cartez Phillips was said to be on a motorcycle traveling along Elgin at the time. While doing so, it appears that a pickup approaching from behind did not control speed, crashing into Phillips. That other driver then allegedly left the scene.
As a result of the collision, Phillips was said to have bodily injury. Harris County officials gave information to suggest they identified the driver of the pickup and filed charges for failure to stop and render aid.
