Harris County, TX — October 15, 2023, Carlos Perez was killed following a car accident at around 9:55 p.m. along the Eastex Freeway.
Authorities released information about the accident saying it happened along the northbound lanes of I-69 service road at the Little York Road intersection.
It appears that 19-year-old Carlos Perez was in a Ford Expedition going eastbound along Little York. A Chevy Impala was northbound on the service road. Right now, authorities have yet to confirm who had the green light at the time of the accident. Perez’s vehicle and the Chevy crashed in the intersection. Perez was fatally injured due to the crash. The other driver’s condition wasn’t confirmed.

I can only hope authorities have since figured out what happened here even if they haven’t released that information to the public. I can’t help remembering a case I handled involving two vehicles crashing at a light, and authorities said there was no way to tell who ran the light. Well, it didn’t take us long to find a nearby business whose camera caught the whole thing on video, and the facts were made clear. Could it be authorities are overlooking something similar here?
