Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
There are obviously concerning details in these preliminary reports, but it’s important to let the evidence speak for itself. There’s no telling whether this all happened to something common or due to a series of unusual circumstances. Making that determination generally requires careful investigations into factors beyond just what’s apparent at the crash scene. If nothing else, the victims and families involved deserve to know they’re getting the full story. Putting all of the focus just on the most obvious explanation is bound to let something important slip through the cracks.
