Houston, TX — March 3, 2024, a man an a child were injured in a car accident at approximately 8:00 p.m. along North Freeway.
According to authorities, a collision took place between a Toyota van—an Uber vehicle—and a Ford F-350 on North Freeway in the vicinity of Deer Trail Drive. The pickup allegedly attempted to flee, but the Uber gave chase.

Officials indicate that both of the vehicles exited North Freeway onto the northbound feeder road. As both vehicles attempted a U-turn at West Road, the pickup truck reportedly collided with the curb and a concrete support column, while the van also apparently struck a light control box before coming to a stop.
The Uber driver allegedly had three passengers at the time of the incident: a man, a woman, and their three-year-old child. The man incurred suspected moderate injuries as a result of the incident, while the three-year-old suffered apparently critical injuries. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
