Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Alcohol is always serious to see, but it’s even more concerning when a driver is below 21. While teens can get alcohol from all kinds of sources, a particularly concerning possibility is that they got it from a local establishment. I’ve handled hundreds of cases against alcohol providers whose negligence contributed to a serious accident. There is no shortage of bars, restaurants, corner stores, and liquor stores willing to serve people who aren’t legally allowed to get alcohol. Maybe that isn’t what happened here, but it’s important to make sure authorities are looking at this accident from all angles to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks.
