Dallas, TX — February 10, 2024, two people were injured in a car accident at approximately 5:45 a.m. along Julius Schepps Freeway, I.H. 45.
According to authorities, a 25-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were traveling in a northbound Honda Civic on Julius Schepps Freeway in the vicinity north of Overton Road when the accident occurred.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, there was a Mustang abandoned in the right-most lane of travel on the freeway. It is reported that none of the vehicle’s lights, including hazards, were activated at the time. The Honda reportedly collided with the back end of the Mustang.
The 2-year-old incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the woman suffered apparently moderate injuries. Both were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
