Burnet County, TX — August 18, 2024, a man was injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident at around 7:00 p.m. along Sunset Drive.
Initial details released about the accident says that it happened in the area of Sunset Drive and Little Elm Road, north of Granite Shoals.
According to officials, a 31-year-old man was in a Ford Explorer going eastbound along Sunset Drive. While rounding a curve, the vehicle reportedly left the side of the road where it overturned and crashed into a tree. Due to the crash, the driver was seriously injured.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

I get calls all the time from folks who feel authorities weren’t giving them the answers they needed. A significant portion of those accidents are single-vehicle wrecks. They’re just not seen as a high priority for a lot of police departments, so officers may not be given the time or tools needed to consider more challenging possible factors, like vehicle defects or road design flaws. That’s why it can be important for victims and families to actively consider what information they’re getting from authorities. If they feel satisfied their questions are being answered, it’s likely because authorities are doing a good job. If folks feel they still have doubts and unanswered questions, it could be that there are details not getting the attention they need.
