Brazoria County, TX — April 15, 2024, Calvin Greeen Jr. and one other person were injured in a car accident shortly after 5:30 p.m. along Farm to Market 2004.
According to authorities, 38-year-old Calvin Greene Jr. was traveling in a southwest bound Nissan Altima on Farm to Market 2004 at the F.M. 2917 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be determined, a southwest bound Chevrolet Express van failed to properly control its speed; this led to a collision between the front-end of the van and the rear-end of the Altima. The collision caused the Altima to veer left, entering the northeast bound lanes of the roadway. There, it was involved in a secondary collision with an oncoming Ford Ranger pickup truck occupied by a 68-year-old man. The front-end of the pickup crashed into the right side of the Altima. The Altima came to a stop facing southeast in a roadside ditch.
Greene reportedly suffered severe injuries as a result of the wreck and the man from the pickup truck sustained apparently moderate injuries, as well. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
