UPDATE (April 25, 2024): Recent reports have been released which clarify what happened leading up to and during this accident. According to these reports, 29-year-old Brandon Wayne Fitzwater was traveling on a Honda motorcycle on the on ramp for U.S. Highway 190 at allegedly high speeds. Officials indicate that the motorcycle may have lost control during a wide turn, causing the motorcycle to overturn. This ejected Fitzwater from the motorcycle and both he and the bike ended up in the eastbound lane of the highway. There, they were reportedly run over by an eastbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. The investigation continues.
Coryell County, TX — April 7, 2024, Brandon Wayne Fitzwater was killed following a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 8:30 p.m. along U.S. 190 bypass.
According to authorities, 29-year-old Kempner man Brandon Wayne Fitzwater was traveling on a westbound motorcycle along U.S. 190 bypass when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that the motorcycle may have been traveling at high speeds leading up to a wreck in which it reportedly collided with a passenger vehicle. Fitzwater incurred critical injuries as a result of the crash, according to reports. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of his injuries, having later been declared deceased. No other injuries have been reported.
