Nacogdoches County, TX — December 6, 2024, a bicyclist was injured in a hit and run car accident at about 11:00 p.m. along North Street.
According to reports, a 52-year-old man was traveling on a southbound bicycle near the fog line on North Street in the vicinity of Koonce Road when the accident took place.
The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the bicyclist was struck by the front right side of a southbound Dodge Durango. The Dodge continued south, failing to stop and render aid of any kind to the victim. The woman who had been in the Dodge was later located by law enforcement.
The victim incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
