Brazoria County, TX — February 22, 2024, Amber Jenkins and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 4:45 p.m. along F.M. 521.
According to authorities, a 41-year-old woman was traveling in a southbound Kia Sorento on Farm to Market 521 approaching the C.R. 51 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Kia attempted a left turn across the northbound lane in order to get onto eastbound C.R. 51 at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the Kia and a northbound Dodge Charger occupied by 33-year-old Amber Jenkins.
Both the woman from the Kia and Jenkins incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
