Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Something that people don’t always realize is just how complex a crash like this can be. Was it something as simple as fatigue or distraction? Something unusual like a mechanical failure or medical emergency? Did a tire blow out? What condition is this stretch of road in? Does this area see an inordinate amount of serious accidents? Were there other drivers involved that left the scene? Have authorities been able to dedicate proper time and resources to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks?

Likely or not, the answers to questions like these are important. Failing to get those answers can be a serious sign that a crash isn’t getting the attention it deserves. Are those questions getting proper attention here so this man’s loved ones know they’re going to get the full story?
