Additional details about the accident are not available at this point in time. I hope that’s a sign authorities are being thorough rather than a sign they moved on without giving this accident the attention it deserves.
Unfortunately, both single-vehicle wrecks and motorcycle accidents are types of accidents that aren’t often a high priority for police. If they’re not careful, they can miss important details. This sort of crash can involve things like mechanical issues, tire failure, roadway design flaws, drivers illegally over-served by a bar, other vehicles that left the scene, and even something like missing signage or lighting. Unless authorities have provided evidence to rule out or clearly confirm what happened here, they may only be getting the victim’s loved ones part of the larger story.
