18-wheeler Hit-and-run Accident on US 175 in Dallas, TX

Authorities said that a 41-year-old man was in a Mazda CX-90 going westbound along the highway. It appears that a tractor-trailer was going the same direction when it made an unsafe lane change. This resulted in a crash with the Mazda, seriously injuring its driver.

Reports indicate that the tractor-trailer left the accident scene. It’s unclear right now if authorities ever identified the driver.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

If authorities still have yet to identify a suspect here, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost. In fact, it might help if they were able to release more information to the public. A lot of the time, hit-and-runs are resolved because someone in the public connects the dots to someone they know or saw after the crash. I’ve seen cases go as long as a year before someone was finally brought to answer for their involvement in a crash. That’s why it’s best not to give up hope and to instead exhaust all possible angles in seeking a resolution.
