Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People see a late-night truck accident and are likely to just assume the truck driver was fatigued or distracted. That’s obviously possible, but commercial trucks can lose control for any number of reasons. Tire blowouts, cargo shifts, maintenance issues, vehicle defects, avoiding other reckless drivers, drivers being overworked or under-trained, etc. Hopefully investigations are handled by experienced professionals who will let the evidence speak for itself rather than jump to conclusions.
