Accident Report

September 17, 2026, two people were injured following an 18-wheeler versus school bus accident early Thursday on Altgelt Lane.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of the Loop 337 and Altgelt Lane intersection.

Right now, specifics about the crash are unavailable. Authorities said that a Comal ISD school bus and an 18-wheeler somehow collided. Due to this, both drivers had reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

There didn’t appear to be any students onboard the bus at the time. Authorities have not confirmed a cause for the crash yet.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Photos of the crash scene show that the vehicles may have been going opposite directions and just missed colliding head-on.
