Due to the collision, Destiny Oliva sustained serious injuries, authorities said. The Ford driver was recommended a charge for running the light. Additional details are unavailable at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
To be rather blunt, the most common reasons for something like this are distracted driving or drunk driving. Perhaps this is an unusual exception, but it’s a lot more likely for a driver to run a red light when their eyes are off the road or their state of mind is impaired.
As open-and-shut as that may seem, there could always be challenges for victims and families to face. A drunk driver, for example, may have been unlawfully over-served by a bar, who may also be responsible for contributing to the crash. A driver on their phone might be working, raising questions about their employer’s demands or lack of safety enforcement. The only way to get a thorough resolution is to know the full story. Are authorities getting all the facts here, or is this crash just being treated like a low priority?
