Saline County, MO — September 12, 2026, one person was killed in a truck accident at about 2:40 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Emma.

Authorities said a man was stepping out of his car after being involved in an accident near mile marker 62 when he was hit by an eastbound semi-truck.

The man, a 42-year-old Liberty man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

No other injuries were reported.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Saline County crash at this time.
