How Did This Accident Occur?

With so little information available right now, I don’t want to jump to any conclusions. OSHA looks into just about everything, from vehicle accidents to equipment malfunctions to medical emergencies to falls. Avoidable or not, it’s bound to get an official investigation. What’s important to note, though, is that this does not guarantee some sort of resolution for the worker’s family.

In fact, Texas is uniquely challenging because there isn’t always an automatic process for getting families the benefits they need. That’s why it’s crucial that someone is preserving evidence and making sure there are no unanswered questions. Whatever path is available to the family, it’s best to navigate it with as much information as possible. Simply waiting around for OSHA can often lead to gaps in the story. So, it’s important to consider whether an accident on a job site would be better off with independent professionals looking things over with the family’s needs in mind.
