Laredo, TX — September 5, 2026, one person was injured in a car accident at about 3 a.m. on Zapata Highway/U.S. Highway 83.

Authorities said a car and a pickup collided while going south near Wooster Street. Both vehicles ended up in the northbound lanes after the crash, with the car hitting a pole.

The car driver, a 20-year-old woman, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries after emergency personnel extricated her from the wreckage, according to authorities. Her name has not been made public yet.

The two people in the pickup were not hurt, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Webb County crash at this time.
