Accident Report

September 2, 2026, a man was killed following an electrocution accident at around 5:00 a.m. along Ruiz Street.

According to officials, the incident happened in a parking lot outside of Kozy Corner Saloon off the corner of Ruiz Street and North San Marcos.

Investigators said that a man in his 20s was found with injuries they believe to be the result of electrocution and a fall. That man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Right now, exact circumstances leading to the man’s injuries remain unconfirmed and under investigation.

How Did This Accident Occur?

There are far more questions than answers here, and I’m certainly not going to speculate without knowing more of the evidence surrounding the accident. One thing I do wonder, though, is if the nearby bar had any sort of 24-hour security system. If the bar had cameras that caught any of these events on video, it needs to be secured before it’s deleted, which often happens automatically with security systems. Or, perhaps the victim was at this bar earlier in the day, and someone might know something more about what might have happened. Hopefully authorities are working hard to get answers for the victim’s loved ones and not just brushing this off as a freak accident.
