Accident Report

Culberson County, TX — June 18, 2026, an El Paso man was killed and two other people were injured in a wrong-way accident at about 11 p.m. on U.S. Highway 62 near Pine Springs.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a westbound 2015 Nissan Sentra was driving in the wrong lane when it collided with an eastbound 2017 Nissan Versa near McKittrick Road.

The Versa driver, a 33-year-old El Paso man, died from injuries suffered in the crash east of Guadalupe Mountains National Park, according to the report.

The two men in the Sentra suffered serious injuries, the report states. The driver, a 22-year-old man, was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road on a divided highway.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Culberson County crash at this time.
