Accident Report

Porter, TX — August 12, 2026, Lauren Mack was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 3:45 p.m. on F.M. 1314.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado collided with a northbound 2020 Nissan Kicks in a construction lane near the intersection with Northgate Lane.

Nissan driver Lauren Mack, 23, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Chevrolet driver, who was not injured, was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and failing to maintain a single marked lane, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Montgomery County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

If a blood test confirms the Chevrolet driver was intoxicated, authorities should go beyond a typical accident investigation. They should try to figure out where he had been drinking before this crash.

That matters because under Texas law alcohol providers like bars or restaurants can share responsibility for injuries caused in drunk-driving accidents if the driver was served while obviously intoxicated.
