Accident Report

July 25, 2026, Carlos Orozco was injured following a motorcycle accident at around 3:00 a.m. along Northwest Highway.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened just off the corner of the Northwest Highway and Preston Road.

Officials said that 31-year-old Carlos Orozco was riding a Harley-Davidson northbound. A Kawasaki motorcycle was going northbound, as well. Authorities say that the Kawasaki made a faulty evasive maneuver, and the two bikes collided.

As a result of the crash, authorities say that Carlos Orozco sustained serious injuries. The other driver reportedly wasn’t hurt. Additional details about the crash are unavailable.

How Did This Accident Occur?

There isn’t a lot of information about what led up to this supposed faulty evasive maneuver. Perhaps there were extenuating circumstances that make this a more complex accident than others. My hope is simply that authorities are being thorough and fair in their investigations. I’ve often found with motorcycle wrecks that officers are more likely to assume anyone a motorcycle was doing something wrong. So, it can sometimes take independent investigators to catch any oversights or false assumptions in the official reports. If authorities have been more careful with this crash, though, that would be good to hear.
