Accident Report

July 5, 2026, one person was injured after a car versus pedestrian accident around 3:46 a.m. along the Eastex Freeway.

According to initial details about the accident, it happened along southwest lanes of the interstate at East Mt. Houston Road in north Houston.

Authorities said that a 46-year-old woman was on foot at the time in the area of Eastex Freeway. A Dodge Charger was going southwest when it allegedly failed to stay in its lane. As a result, the car reportedly struck the woman. This resulted in serious injuries.
